Український автобус нагородили за дизайн
Повноприводний Torsus Praetorian удостоївся двох престижних винагород за сім днів.
Автобус Torsus Praetorian, розроблений українською компанією Pulsar Expo і словацькою студією Werkemotion, нагородили за видатний дизайн і інновації.
Позашляховик отримав премії Red Dot Design Award і German Innovation Award від німецьких експертів.
Автобус-усюдихід Torsus Praetorian вперше представили в 2018 році. Авторами проекту незвичайної спецтехніки є українські підприємці Вахтанг Джукашвілі і Юлія Хоміч.
Однооб'ємники Tortus базуються на повноприводному шасі вантажівки MAN TGS, проте кузов в автобусів є оригінальним, зробленим з композитних матеріалів.
Залежно від призначення Torsus Praetorian може бути автобусом з 35 посадковими місцями, автобудинком, швидкою допомогою, пожежним або поліцейським автомобілем, моторхоумом або вантажопасажирською «технічкою».
Проте незалежно від надбудови Torsus Praetorian відрізняється легким і міцним житловим модулем і дуже брутальною зовнішністю. Під капотом безальтернативний 6,9-літровий 240-потужний (925 Нм) турбодізель MAN D0836 Lfl40, коробка передач 12-ступінчаста напівавтоматична виробництва ZF, є знижуюча передача і блокування диференціалів.
Дорожній просвіт — 389 міліметрів, глибина броду — 700 міліметрів. Важить автобус 13,5 тонни, а ємкість паливного бака досягає 300 літрів. Ціна внедорожного автобуса залежить від специфікації і починається з 155 тисяч євро. Проте, творці всюдихода запевняють, що попит на «важкий» автобус б'є рекорди, а винагорода за естетику і функціональність від Red Dot лише додасть однооб'ємнику популярності.

ULTRA-TOUGH TORSUS PRAETORIAN WINS INTERNATIONALLY RESPECTED GERMAN INNOVATION AWARD FROM THE GERMAN DESIGN COUNCIL
The ultra-tough TORSUS PRAETORIAN has been awarded an esteemed German Innovation Award for its Excellence in Business to Consumer in the Transport category, from the German Design Council – days after it was announced it had won a prestigious Red Dot design award in the Product Design 2020 category.
TORSUS, in partnership with Werkemotion – an independent award-winning transportation and industrial design studio – designed the TORSUS PRAETORIAN, the world’s first heavy duty 4×4 off-road bus. Designed to transport personnel and equipment safely across the world’s harshest environments, the bus is based on an upgraded heavy-duty MAN chassis and is powered by MAN engines and drivetrain. From the Michelin off-road tyres, to the Line-X™ military grade coating on body parts, PRAETORIAN is engineered to take on any terrain, in any conditions, anywhere in the world.
Founded by the German Bundestag in 1953, the German Design Council’s contests have been honouring design, brand and innovation achievements of international renown. Receiving 700 entries in 2020, the German Innovation Awards are designed to honour products and solutions across sectors, which differ from previous solutions mainly by being user-centred and offering added value.
The German Innovation Awards make great achievements visible to a wide audience and ensure successful positioning in the market. To be an award winner, the jury select products based on innovations that advance the industry through their originality, implementation and effectiveness.
